Verisign has just announced a price increase for their server
digital-IDs, which becomes effective August 18. The current
price is $290, renew $75; the new prices will be $349, renew $249.
Digital-IDs are used by the server to secure connections (SSL encryption)
so users can safely transmit sensitive information across the
internet without worrying that an uninvited 3rd party will intercept
the message.

BigBiz has its own ID (check it at https://www.bigbiz.com)
and shares it with all our domain clients with
no additional charges. You may want to consider obtaining your own
digital-ID if your web site does a significant amount of secure
transactions, or if you plan to get into Internet Commerce (like
using CyberCash online credit card processing). We can help obtain
and install your digital-ID for your domain. If you are considering
getting a digital-ID, you may want to act quickly to get the old
prices.
